Welcome to the first Director’s Update. What a few months it has been, we’ve been “pedal to the metal” working hard to prepare ourselves for our 1 year anniversary!
We’ve been on a rollercoaster of a journey and it’s such an exciting moment to finally be able to showcase what we’ve been working away on.
Just last week we opened our doors to the public to begin their application and compliance process which is running smoothly and we look forward to welcoming more staff as time goes by.
We’ve been very lucky to move into our first hub of operations in Alderley Edge, Cheshire (above). This will be a great opportunity for us to safely store equipment, host meetings and so much more.
We spent a lot of time deciding on where to base ourselves and couldn’t be happier with our choice. You can see some progress with us setting up our shelving and storage (left).
There’s still a long way to go before it feels like home, but our vision is steadfast and optimistic.
Though the first few months of getting up and running aren’t that exciting for a blog post, I’ll tell it anyway! Our last few weeks have been spent meeting with accountants, insurers and equipment suppliers to develop a strong network and tie up any loose ends.
I’ve spent a lot of time working on LightLink, our bespoke staff portal, ensuring it is fit for purpose and regularly fixing bugs and adding in new functionality to increase its effectiveness. I’m personally really proud of the system and it certainly puts us in a great position moving forward to customise and update as time goes by. All of our clinical policies have been signed off by our independent clinical team formed of healthcare professionals.
There’s still more to go, I think I’m certainly going to develop my DIY skills! That being said, I’m truly very excited for the future and thing we’re in an amazing position to move forward into 2024 with optimism and purpose.
I hope to share more exciting news in March. And, of course, feel free to learn more about us and our event medical cover.
